Sit your practical test in a fully insured dual-control car you have already driven, with a warm-up lesson beforehand.
Test day has enough variables without the car being one of them. Sitting the test in a vehicle you have practised in means the pedals, the mirrors, the biting point and the width of the thing are all already familiar, and none of your attention is going on them.
The service includes a warm-up lesson immediately before the test. That is partly to loosen up and partly to settle nerves, which for most people is the bigger of the two.
The car is a modern automatic with dual controls and full insurance. It is the same car used for lessons, which is the entire point.

Time in the car before the examiner gets in, running the manoeuvres once so your hands remember them.
Fully insured, dual control
Insurance and roadworthiness are handled. Nothing for you to organise or worry about.
A final run through what is marked
The six immediate fail items and the five manoeuvres, one more time, so nothing is a surprise.
How it runs.
- Book your test first. You book the test itself through Service SA. Then tell us the date and time and we will confirm availability.
- Get a quote. Test day support is quoted rather than fixed, because it depends on the warm-up length and the test centre.
- Warm-up lesson. We meet before the test, drive, and run the manoeuvres. You go in loose rather than cold.
- The test. You sit it in the car you know, with the paperwork already sorted.
