Entering and leaving a 45 or 90 degree bay
Entering
- Choose a parking bay and check mirror, signal, blind spot
- Line your shoulder up with the line just before the bay you want
- Turn the wheel one turn and move in slowly until the A pillar reaches the bay line
- Then turn fully until it locks and continue in until the car is straight
- Straighten the wheels and ease forward until the lines face you, then stop
Leaving (reverse out)
- Check mirror, left, right and the rear window
- Reverse straight back until your shoulder lines up with the end of the line (you can see the next car's plate)
- Keep rolling back slowly, then steer toward the opposite side to the way you want to go
- Select Drive
- Turn the wheel fully and drive out into the correct lane
