Keep to the left
With no lane markings, keep as close to the left as is practical, without hugging the gutter.
Drive as near to the far left of the road as you safely can.
- Turning left: start from as near to the left as practical.
- Turning right: move close to and parallel with the centre of the road, and pass just to the right of the centre of the intersection.
- Overtaking: if it is safe, you may pass a non-signalling car in front on its right.
- Speeds, unless signed: 50 in built-up areas, 100 outside. Slow right down for gravel or rough surfaces.
